NOTES:

For safety reasons, some

sections of the Innova

x100/2000 lab

procedures will be

demonstrated by the

Instructor.

Due to the complexity of

Advantx-E / DLX system,

sections of the Advantx-E

lab will be Instructor led.

Procedure begins on next page…

Innova x100 Power-Off

?Watch for the SMPTE pattern to appear

?Shortly after the DL Browser appears on the DL Flat Panel, the SMPTE pattern should disappear, if it does not - this is a boot

problem.

?Note the display on the Live Monitor after boot. You should see the Gantry/Table icons with a list of position information. If

you see the “%” or “?“ symbol (“?“ for Harmony and above)

instead of position information – this is a boot problem.

?Note led status of the boards in the C2 cabinet card rack.

Compare with the door diagrams.

?Note the boards that have “flashing” or “scrolling” leds.

Do the door diagrams describe these leds? _________

Prior to performing any application procedures, perform the power off procedure, followed by another power-on cycle beginning at: Innova x100 Power-On Step 3: VCIM - ON

(Please review all information in the step below prior to performing)

2.To perform Innova x100 Power-Off, simply press and hold the

VCIM “On-Off” Button for about three seconds.

Note the following when this is performed:

?Two of the On-Off module commands have an immediate

effect: MPDU “On”, and PDB “On”

?The DL Supervisior software processes the C1-PDU “On”

request and begins a shutdown of software. Part of this

process will be communication/command to the control

board in the C1-PDU. After a delay, the C1-PDU will turn off

all outputs.

Innova x100 Perform Acquisitions Send Images to WS

?Until the previous step is complete (PDU outputs off), you

have time to make some observations. Please answer the

following:

Which Cabinets / modules loose power when you turn the console off?

o Maximum Lateral Left travel, Maximum Right travel

o Maximum Rotational Clockwise travel

o Maximum Rotational Anti-Clockwise travel

?Collision Detection:

o Verify collimator collision sensors are operational

o Verify detector faceplate collision sensors are operational

o Verify pressure ring collision sensor is operational

6.End any exam in progress. Press the reset button on the VCIM

Console.

?Observe progress of reset

?DL Supervisor processes restart

?Each module will perform a software restart

?For Innova Systems whose DL-OS is Windows NT (Bolus), or Windows XP based (Harmony and above) the Windows OS

will shutdown and restart.

?For Innova Systems whose DL-OS is Windows 2000 based (Unity, Unity-Elegance), the DL Supervisor will shutdown the

application and perform a quick logoff and auto-logon and

restart the application (no OS restart). Power is not cycled

off on any subsystem

Innova 2000 Procedures begin on the following page…

?Remove/Open the following Cabinet covers: MPPU1-

MPPU2, POS-TIT Cabinet, ACAB.

Basic Operation Part 1 presentation as a guide:

?Perform an Innova 2000 Power-On

?Verify visual indicators for the following:

Step 2: PDB – ON

Step 3: MPPU CB10 – ON

(Please review all information in the step below prior to performing)

9.Prior to turning on Advantx-E Console note any illuminated

indicators in the POS-TIT, ACAB, or MPPU1.

_______________________________________________________

For presenation Step 4: Advantx-E Console – ON

When you press the Console On Button:

?You will first hear the MPPU2 Line Contactor engage, followed shortly by the ACAB PDU contactor engaging.

?The MPPU2 Line Contactor and “System-On” are

coincident. There is no delay in turning on the +/- 300VDC

Power once the safeties are satisfied (compared to the

PL3-PL4 stage on Advantx-E systems).

?The AC-DC distribution board in the Positioner is powered before the ACAB PDU (you may not notice this the first time

you perform this procedure).

?Be prepared to look quickly at the DL & RTAC front panel (OCP). You should see the two-digit codes increment as

the DL and RTAC perform their power-on-self-test.

?In the POS-TIT cabinet, you will not see the TITAN, or ECM receive their power until the ACAB PDU powers on (Titan is

fed by ACAB PDU, ECM is powered by Titan).

Innova 2000 Power-Off (Please review prior to turning on Console)

?On the DL Flat panel console, you should note the

Windows NT boot beginning.

?As NT boots, note the GE Application Boot

Look for the DL Supervisior window to appear

?Watch for the SMPTE pattern to appear

?Shortly after the DL Browser appears on the DL Flat Panel, the SMPTE pattern should disappear, if it does not - this is

a boot problem.

?Note the display on the Live Monitor after boot. You should see the Gantry/Table icons with a list of position

information. If you see the “%” symbol instead of position

information – this is a boot problem.

?One of the last things you will notice is the boot of the Advantx-E console to Applications.

Prior to performing any application procedures, perform the power off procedure, followed by another power-on cycle beginning at: Advantx-E Console – ON

(Please review all information in the step below prior to performing)

10.To perform Innova 2000 Power-Off, simply press and release the

Advantx-E Console “On” Button (It is actually the On-Off Button). Note the following when this is performed:

?Any item whose power is sourced from the MPPU2 line

contactor, turns off immediately

?The DL Supervisior software processes the “off” request

and begins a shutdown of software. Part of this process

will be communication/command to the control board in

the ACAB PDU. After a delay, the ACAB PDU will turn off all

outputs.

?Until the above step is complete (PDU outputs off), you

have time to make some observations.
