Daming woke up in the morning. The robot said in a pleasant voice, “It is June 26, 2118. It’s a fine day. And your father is leaving for Planet 3549 in an hour.”
Planet 3549 is a newly-discovered planet. With the development of technology, it will take only 15 days to travel there. Daming’s father is an excellent astronaut(宇航员), so he was chosen to land on this planet.
Before his journey, scientists had collected a lot of information about the planet. Then came the time for Daming’s father to leave. Daming: What was the most dangerous thing that ever happened in your work?
Tony: Going into the desert (沙漠) without careful prepararion is very dangerous. For example, if you don’t take enough water, it means death. Getting lost is another danger. We also have to be careful with snakes.

Amy is a biologist (生物学家) working at a marine (海洋的) park. These kinds of parks provide fun and education for tens of thousands of people each year.
Amy takes care of many animals in the park, but she also does important research. As she observes the animals that she looks after, she learns more about their needs and behavior (行为).
