Text Mining for Clementine?Installation Instructions
(Network License)
The following instructions are for installing Text Mining for Clementine using a network license.
This document is for end users who are installing Text Mining for Clementine on their desktop
computers.If you are a network administrator,see Network License Administrators Guide.pdf
in the Documentation directory on the product CD-ROM for information about setting up the
network license and distributing the product to end users.
During installation,you will be prompted for the following information.Except for the serial
number,all information is required.Contact your site administrator if you do not have the
required information.

System Requirements for Text Mining for Clementine
The minimum hardware and software requirements for Text Mining for Clementine are as follows:
Operating system.Microsoft?Windows?Vista(Business and Enterprise)x32and x64 Editions,Microsoft?Windows?XP Professional with Service Pack2x32and x64Editions,
Windows Server2003?(Terminal Services)
Hardware.Intel?Pentium?or Pentium-class processor or higher(for32-bit Windows);x64 (AMD64and EM64T)processor family(for64-bit Windows)A monitor with1024x768
resolution or higher.A CD-ROM drive is also required if you are installing from a CD-ROM Minimum free disk space.320megabytes(MB)of available hard-disk space on Windows Clementine client machine and additional space for data created.
Minimum RAM.1GB of RAM minimum;2GB or more recommended
Software.Clementine?12.0.Microsoft?Internet Explorer?6.0or higher for online help. Upgrading to Version12.0
Upgrading from Text Mining for Clementine5.0
If you are upgrading to Text Mining for Clementine12.0from version5.0or later,begin by
installing version12.0before uninstalling version5.0to ensure that your templates and published
libraries are migrated to version12.0.Any shipped libraries and templates from a previous

release will be marked as such to differentiate them(suf?x of_5).If you no longer need the
older versions,you can delete them.
Important!If you uninstall Text Mining for Clementine5.0before installing this new version,
any template and public library work performed in version5.0will be lost and unable to be
migrated to version12.0.
Upgrading from Text Mining for Clementine4.1or earlier
If you are upgrading to Text Mining for Clementine12.0from version4.1or earlier,you will
have to make stream updates and node replacements to preexisting streams.For this upgrade,
any preexisting streams that contain the older nodes will no longer be fully executable until you
update the nodes.Certain improvements in the Clementine11.0release required older nodes to be
replaced with the newer versions,which are both more deployable and more powerful.Note:The
old Text Extraction node was replaced by the Text Mining modeling node.
Text Mining Builder2.0Library Migration
Any of the public(or published)libraries from Text Mining Builder2.0found on your machine
are migrated during installation to Text Mining for Clementine.
Note:If you do not want these resources migrated,you can delete them before installing Text
Mining for Clementine or shut down the MySQL service for Text Mining Builder so they are
inaccessible.Contact your system administrator for help.
Installing Text Mining for Clementine
Your administrator might have given you a CD-ROM or identi?ed a network location from which
to install.Check with your administrator if you do not know how you are supposed to install
Text Mining for Clementine.
Note:To install Text Mining for Clementine,you must be logged on to your computer with
administrator privileges.
Installing from a CD-ROM
Windows XP
E Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.The AutoPlay feature presents a menu.
E On the AutoPlay menu,click Install Text Mining for Clementine12.0,and then follow the instructions
that appear on the screen.See“Notes for Installation”for any special instructions.
Windows Vista
You must run the AutoPlay as administrator:
E Close the AutoPlay window that automatically appeared.

E Using Windows Explorer,browse to the CD-ROM.
E Right-click setup.exe at the root of the CD and choose Run as Administrator.
E On the AutoPlay menu,click Install Text Mining for Clementine12.0,and then follow the instructions
that appear on the screen.See“Notes for Installation”for any special instructions.
Invoking the Setup Program Manually
You can also invoke the Setup program manually:
E From the Windows Start menu,choose Run.
E In the Run dialog box,type D:\setup.(If you are not using D as the CD-ROM drive,enter the
appropriate drive location.)
E Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.See“Notes for Installation”for any special
instructions.
Installing from a Network Location
E From the Windows Start menu,choose Run.
E In the Run dialog box,type the location that your administrator provided for the setup.exe?le.
E On the AutoPlay menu,click Install Text Mining for Clementine12.0,and then follow the instructions
that appear on the screen.See“Notes for Installation”for any special instructions.
Notes for Installation
This section contains special instructions for this installation.
Licensing.A separate license is required to activate and access this product.In order to access
the functionality,you must license Text Mining for Clementine through the Clementine Client
license wizard.For more information,see https://www.doczj.com/doc/2416569452.html,/clementine/.You can also refer
to the Clementine Client installation guides.
Installation path.You cannot install Text Mining for Clementine in a custom location.It must
adhere to the pre-installed Clementine directory structure.
Text Mining for Clementine5.0or Text Mining Builder2.0resources.When you install this version of
Text Mining for Clementine,any of the public(or published)libraries from Text Mining Builder
2.0or Text Mining for Clementine5.0found on your machine are migrated to this new version of
Text Mining for Clementine.
License manager server name or IP address.This is the IP address or the name of the server on
which the network license manager is running.If you have multiple addresses or names,separate
them with a colon(for example,server1:server2:server3).Contact your administrator if you do
not have this information.

Uninstalling Text Mining for Clementine
To completely uninstall Text Mining for Clementine:
E Use the Windows Control Panel to remove Text Mining for Clementine.
Note :Uninstalling Clementine will not uninstall Text Mining for Clementine.Begin by uninstalling Text Mining for Clementine followed by uninstalling Clementine.
