Chinese dishes are very different in the north and south. But there is one kind of food that is common in most parts of China. It is baozi. Chinese President Xi Jinping once even showed up in a restaurant and bought some baozi.
Baozi are usually filled with vegetables or pork and wrapped in a soft flour shell. They are made in different sizes. The smallest is xiaolongbao. Each one comes in a bite-sized form.
The fillings of baozi are also different. Meat and vegetables are common. In the south, many people also put sweet fillings such as sugar inside baozi. Some baozi even have soup inside, for example, steamed juicy buns (灌汤包). People use a straw (吸管) to drink the soup before eating it. The trick to cook steamed juicy buns is to put a jelly (胶状物) made of gravy (肉汤) inside it first. The jelly melts when steamed, giving people a juicy taste.
Although most baozi are steamed, some are cooked in a different way. Shengjianbao is fried. People love its crispy (酥脆的) shell and golden color. Baozi is important to Chinese people. It is one of Chinese people’s 10 most favorite dishes, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Did you have a wonderful trip during the winter vacation? Now with a new policy, traveling abroad will be easier.
In late January, the Ministry of Public Security of China announced that ordinary passport holders from China can now visit 45 countries and regions without a visa (签证), or with a visa-on-arrival. A visa is a stamp or sticker placed by officials of a foreign country on a passport that allows the holder to visit that country. It says why you are going to the country and how long you are allowed to stay there. Many countries require a visa to gain entry. Chinese people can get a visa from the embassy (大使馆) of the country of your destination with the required documents. For example, you can get a US visa from the US Embassy in Beijing. You can also get it from one of the five consulates(领事馆) in Chinese mainland: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu and Shenyang. You can get a US visa at the one nearest you. If your visa is refused, you can’t visit your destination country. There are different types of visas, including the tourist visa, study visa and working visa.
People from Britain, Finland and Sweden enjoy the widest range (范围) of visa-free travel in the world. They are able to visit 173 countries with just a passport. People from Hong Kong can visit 152 countries and regions without a visa.

Since 1985, Australian professor Ed Galea has studied interviews with 2,000 survivors(幸存者)of 105 plane crashes, analyzing (分析) their behavior, searching for the keys to survival.
1. Traveling with your family
If you are traveling in a family group, you should make sure that the airline does not separate you throughout the aircraft. Why? It’s natural that you’re going to be with your family before you leave if you’re got into that sort of situation. If you do that it’s going to cause havoc(混乱).
2. The seat belt
How do you undo your seat belt in your car? You press a button. In a plane, you lift a latch. If you can’t undo your seat belt then, you can’t escape and your chances of survival miss.
3. Does it matter where you sit?
Sit within seven rows of an exit and count exactly how many rows you are from the nearest two exits. Count so that you can find an exit in the dark. And why two exits? Because the nearest exit to you might not be ―viable‖ (可行的).
4. Facing backward
We would all be safer if airline seats faced backward. But the difficulty with this is that the majority of the traveling public doesn’t like traveling with their back facing the direction of travel.
5. Fire
―Smoke contains toxic(有毒的) gases, narcotic(麻醉的) gases. It contains irritant(刺激) gases. If you breathe in enough of them you will die,‖ explains Galea. He carries a smoke hood(排烟罩)but warns that if you’re going to follow his example you must learn how to use it. Otherwise you’ll waste time trying to put it on — time that could be used for making an exit.

And if you’re about to crash, do use the brace(支撑) position -- head down, ankles behind knees. The brace position is one of the most important things a passenger should take on board when they fly, it’s designed to reduce your chances of being knocked unconscious during a heavy impact(碰撞).
