Guangzhou ,the capital of Guangdong Province, located at the north of the Pearl River delta, is an important trading center and a busy port, covering an area of over 7,000 kilometers, and with a population of more than 10 million.
The best time to visit Guangzhou is October and November because it is cool and comfortable. Lied in the sub-tropic zone, the summer days in Guangzhou are prett y long and it is humid and hot with large rainfall. In early December, it can be as cold as to 2℃, where the cold wind chills everyone.

Highlights of Guangzhou also include a cruise along the Pearl River, with lights and neon blazing on both banks, and the tranquil vestige of the colonial era—Shamian Island. However, the most charming part of the city is the life in its streets and the activity in its alleys, especially those in Sai Kwan.
