As I was making my way to the coffee shop, I noticed an older gentleman poorly dressed sitting on a 21 nearby. I knew from first sight that he was in need of some kind of 22 . He had a little lunch stretched out in front of him and was wholeheartedly 23 it.

Kenji Croman has broken his bones, his shoulder and elbow, and nearly drowned several times. He's also had three close encounters with sharks over the years. A 10-foot wave landed directly on top of him five years ago, bending his body to the point that he actually kicked himself in the head. "I literally heard every bone in my body crack, " he said.
Croman has been photographing ocean waves since 2008, sometimes risking his life to get that perfect shot at the surf break. The hardest part of Croman's job is staying calm in the face of breaking waves when his initial reaction is to panic and swim away. At most, Croman will take two to three shots of a single wave. "I've shot waves for so many years now that I see the wave in slow movement, " he said.

A San Diego boy Kristoffer Von Hassel has the gaming world' s attention after he exposed a security weakness that let him log into his dad's Xbox Live account, without permission.
Kristoffer's father, Robert, noticed soon after Christmas that his son was logging into his account and playing games that weren’t appropriate for his age. When he asked how,Kristoffer showed him a hack that seems simple but is fairly impressive considering a 5-year- old found it.
Kristoffer would go to his dad's account and type in an incorrect password. That would take him to a password verifications (确认) screen, where he would simply tap the space bar repeatedly and then press "enter. "
"How awesome is that?" asked Davies, who works in online security himself. "just being 5 years old and being able to find a vulnerability I ty and getting attached to that I thought that was pretty cool." He told KGTV that Kristoffer has figured out three or four other "hacks", including getting past the lock on a smartphone by holding down the "home" key for long enough.
Davies reported the vulnerability to Microsoft. And Microsoft acted, issuing a fix for it. "We' re always listening to our customers and thank them for bringing issues to our attention," the
company said in a written statement. "We take security seriously at Xbox and fixed the issue as soon as we learned about it. "
The company has even included Kristoffer's name on a list of security researchers who have helped make online Microsoft products safer. For his discovery, or more accurately, for reporting it with his father's help, Kristoffer will receive four games. $50 and a year's subseription to Xbox Live from Microsoft.

The German city of Hamburg has announced plans to become car-free within the next two decades. It is an ambitious idea, but city officials obviously feel that the personal motorcar does not fulfill a function that walking, biking and taking public transport cannot. Europe on Thursday launched the first satellite of its Copernicus Earth observation project that will supply valuable images in the event of natural disasters or even a plane crash.
The Sentinel-la satellite, which was sent into Earth' s orbit from Europe's spaceport in French Guiana9 will be used to monitor sea ice, oil spills and land use and to respond to emergencies such as floods and earthquakes.
The Copernicus proiect , for which the European Union and the -European Space Agency (ESA) have committed funding of around 8. 4 billion euros (_$_11. 5 billion) until 2020, is described by the _ESA as the most ambitious earth observation program to date.
"The big step forward is that we can now cover every place on Earth every three to six days," Volker Liebig, director of ESA' s Earth Observation program, said ahead of the launch. "If you want to use images for disaster management support or to find a plane, then you want the images to be as fresh as possible. " But he cautioned you would first need to know roughly where a plane had crashed, which is not the case with the missing Malaysian Airlines jet.
Copernicus also offers new business opportunities. Images can be downloaded free of charge, meaning companies can then use them to help deliver data to farmers on soil conditions or pest infestation, help oil companies decide where to drill new wells or make it easier for insurers to assess the risk of costly floods and fires.
Sentinel-la, which will operate with a second satellite, Sentinel-1b, to be launched next year, has high-tech instrurnents that will allow it to record radar images of Earth's surface, even when the skies are cloudy or dark. As part of the Copernicus program, there will be 17 launches over the next decade.
