Apple’s newest product, the iPad Mini, is a downsized brother of
the 100-million selling iPad product line. I think if Steve Jobs were still
around, this product wouldn’t exist(存在). He was strongly against a
device (装置) this size. The technical details of the device may shake
Apple’s fans, and leave Android fans pleased. Here are four reasons you
should not buy this new piece of Apple hardware.
The Resolution (分辨率)
The iPad Mini is a thin, beautiful piece. Visit the official iPad Mini product page, and you’ll see it said to be “Every Inch An iPad.” Unfortunately the 7.9″ screen’s 1024 x 768 resolution is the same as the iPad 2 — a device now two generations (代) old. I find it funny that Apple is pushing their Retina technology, while at the same time producing an iPad Mini with a lower resolution. Newcomers to the iPad will not be impressed, and existing iPad owners probably will not choose to buy the iPad Mini as a second device.
The Price
Apple asks for $329 for an iPad Mini. However, Google’s Nexus 7 is priced at $249, and the search giant includes a $25 voucher (优惠券). It used to be enough for Apple to pull back the curtain on a new product to cause praise, but now the fierce competition has led to dirty marketing.
The Short Life Cycle
Apple has now proved they have no problem introducing a new revision (修订) of their products every six months. With the 4th generation iPad available (可以得到的) soon, it’s nothing less than a slap in the face to Apple fans. We should expect a similar treatment of the iPad Mini. By summer 2013, expect Apple to roll out an iPad Mini 2.

It is like finding the last piece of jigsaw puzzle. This becomes an AHA moment and everything freezes around you as you excitedly try to grasp the practicality of that little but powerful thought.
Your self-confidence and interest increase as you become aware of the great possibilities that can arise if that little thought is acted upon. This becomes the moment to build upon that thought and to write down any ideas that are streaming from that little thought for later review. Seemingly meaningless little thoughts or ideas when acted upon have a potential to burst into great projects.
Many successful projects have been born from the little positive thoughts that were carefully nurtured (培育) and recognized as tickets to great things.
You may have heard people say many times that it just came to me in a flash moment, a small idea or seemingly meaningless thought may cross your mind about something you have been planning to complete. Don’t waste an opportunity to act on a potentially brilliant idea. You don't have to wait for a major peer (同伴) for a major idea, a master strategy or agreement in order for you to act on that little thought. That little thought or idea is the beginning of great things if you decide to follow it.

When he was only 14 years old, William Kamkwamba started to dream up a windmill that would produce electricity for his village in Malawi in Africa.

M: If I had to sit behind a desk all day, I’d go crazy! I’m really glad I have a job where I can keep moving. My favorite part is choosing the best music for each class. 2018年秋期九（1）班英语期末考试总结及反思 一、试卷评析 考卷总体来说，相对容易，有对基础知识考核的环节，也有考查学生运用所学知识解决实际问题的能力，试卷紧扣教材，突出重点，更侧重于对双基能力的考查。 （1）选择填空考查得比较细，大部分很基础。主要考查学生对课本知识的掌握情况，知识覆盖面较广，较细，重点、难点突出。但也有个别题目相对较难。 （2）完形填空与阅读理解题量较大，取材都比较好，贴近现实，对学生很有教育，通过做这个题，读其内容，学生会意识到学习不仅仅在学校而校外的学习也很重要。 （3）书面表达与课本内容有着极大的相似之处，是对教材的深加工，做到了学以致用。虽然比较贴近学生生活，但由于大部分同学基础很薄弱，所以效果不甚理想。 二、学生情况分析 本次考试，从分数上看，学生两极分化相当严重。从这次考试也看出一些问题，学生基础知识太薄弱，掌握不太牢，每个大题丢分都有。基础知识和基本技能不扎实，学生对一些基本词汇、语法、句型的掌握不够熟练。所以非选择题空白的较多，造成及格人数太少。 三、失分情况和原因 1.听力题：失分较多的是第三节。在这个题当中可以反映出学生听完材料之后，无法填出相应的关键词，而且学生的理解能力差。 2.短文填空：本题所给的语篇较长，难度较大，因此失分较多。 3.学生在阅读这块失分较多。第一，学生阅读习惯需要进一步培养，很多学生只是对照题目单纯找答案，而不是认真反复地看文章，缺乏耐心。第二，部分学生只能理解文章的表面意思，不能透过现象理解出作者的言外之意。
4.词语运用：根据句意填单词（每空一词），使句子完整、语法正确这题失分也比较多，可见学生在不同语境中灵活运用单词的能力欠缺。 5.书面表达：在整个卷子当中失分较多的是书面表达，要写好这个作文要一定的单词量和语法知识 四．问题分析 1. 平时我对学生不够严厉，如果学生不能够回答出我在上课反复强调的知识，我一般只是提醒，并无惩罚措施。学生在课堂上有时候开小差，一般也只是点名批评，对屡次犯错误的学生，没有严加管教。 2. 应该每天听写单词和词组，可单词和词组是学生最头痛的事，学生们都说他们记不住，部分学生对英语学习失去兴趣，学生两极分化的明显出现很大程度上是没过好词汇关，这些学生记单词只会死记硬背，但不会读，这样是学不好英语的。因此，一定要注重课堂词汇教学，让学生掌握一定的学习单词的方法，按读音规则认读、记忆单词而不是死记硬背，当学生感悟到记单词不再困难时，他们的英语学习也就迈出了很可喜的坚实的基础一步，他们对英语学习才会真正感兴趣。 3. 这次考试学生听力丢分较多，在今后的教学中要有意识地加强学生听读能力的训练与培养，重点训练学生的阅读和听的习惯的培养。课外还要多选用一些内容健康，时代感强、知识性、趣味性并存的短文来让学生阅读，通过大量阅读来培养学生的语感以及通过上下文捕捉信息的能力，从而提高阅读，理解，分析，判断的能力。 4. 实行分层次教学，降低对差生的要求，比如让成绩好些的学生背课文时，其他学生能读熟就可以了，检查单词和词组时，要求差生写对一半就算优秀，这样他下次会背单词背的更好！这样才能让每个学生有成就感，逐步提高学习英语的兴趣 5.做好补差工作，缩小两极分化，从测试情况看，英语学习已明显出现两极分化现象。由于知识点的深化，学生的个体差异以及多种内外在因素，学生学习上的两极分化是客观存在的，但我们一定要通过我、家长、包括学生本人的不懈努力，力争减少差生，使他们在英语学习上不断进步，这就需要我真正的去爱

九年级英语第一学期期末考试英语试卷分析 考试阅卷结束后，我对英语试卷做了统计分析和调查，具体如下： 一、试卷特点 试卷紧扣教学大纲的要求着重考察了学生的基础知识以及在掌握知识的同时对基础知识的运用。试卷着重考查九年级所学的重点，没有偏题。试卷总体感觉不难，但是从学生角度反应出试题具有较大的迷惑性，要求学生能够排除干扰因素，并且注意知识细节。各大题得分情况：听力为30分；单项选择为20分；完型填空为10分；阅读理解为40分；词汇运用为5分；书面表达为15分。 二、整体情况分析 总的来说，通过整体的分析，反映了学生在复习中，基本上能领会课堂的要点要求，一些知识点在堂上反复出现的，掌握得较牢固，但是运用这些知识去解决实际问题的能力较差，这与课后的练习有关，说明了部分学生对课后的练习作业不够重视、缺乏主动性，而且，解题的依赖性强，缺乏独立的思考能力，另外，对于一些相关的语法知识和句子的构成，学生的遗忘率也很高。 三、试卷命题的特点及学生存在的问题 第一部分听力（30分） 听力部分考查了学生的理解日常英语的能力，相当部分题目直接从录音对话中找到答案，但一些题目找不到直接的答案，学生必须通过思考，从词语释义、句意理解或段意理解等不同方式悟出正确的选择，内容难度不大，而且语速不快，但部分学生本来基础知识欠熟练，而且没有掌握好答题技巧，也就是说没能按老师平时的要求，在听录音前，做到反复看透听力的题目，所以答题反应慢而失分，尤其听短文填空单词错误率较高。说明学生的听力理解能力还待提高。 第二部分笔试部分（90分） 单项选择题（20分）。本题共有20小题，大部分题目不是孤立地考语法知识，而是将他们放在特定的语境中，学生必须看懂题干的全部内容以后，经过思考方能选出正确答案，如第28、37、44小题：学生对句意理解不够清楚，不理解题意，不能灵活运用。这说明学生对基础掌握的不牢固，有待于进一步提高。 完型填空（10分）。所选内容有关于探索自然奥秘，难度较大，文章不易读懂，学生得分率并不高。这篇文章着重考查学生的基础知识，但学生只是凭感觉做题，不利用所指导的技巧去分析题目。今后要继续加以指导，使学生养成良好的做题习惯。 阅读理解（40分）。共有四篇，A篇最简单，所选的答题大体都能一目了然，贴近现实生活，学生做对率很高。但前三篇考查细节和对全文的整体把握的题目比较多，学生出错特别多。如第63、66题失分较大。反应出学生做题不够细心，不够耐心；同时也反映出学生缺乏一定的做题技巧。任务型阅读题较简单，所选内容熟悉易懂，大多数学生得分率较高，个别学生做题不认真而有所失分。 词汇运用（5分）。总体得分率不高，学生对所记住的单词不会在句中灵活运用。第82小题，学生只单纯考虑语法，认为这个单词写出来就行，不会从整体上去考虑，没有仔细审题。以后继续加强对此类题的训练 书面表达（15分）。连词成句，总体说来得分率较高，但第86题考查学生对词的掌握，但是大多数学生失分率较高，审题不清。
