2013年安徽省考试说明新增词汇解释

《2013年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试安徽卷考试说明》与2012年相比应该是稳中求进,除了词汇外没有什么变化。虽然表述中给考生的感觉是增加了100词,但实际上安徽省的高考词汇是根据全国考纲的要求逐年增加的。2012年和2011年的表述都是“3000左右”但2012年实际比2011年增加了54个词汇。2013年说明中的表述虽是“3100左右”,但实际只比2012年增加了56个词汇。并非是网上所传的100词。下面是2013年新增加的词:

1.absolute英['?bs?lu?t]美['?bs?lu?t]

adj.绝对的;确实的;专制的;完全的;独立的;无限制的n.绝对的事物

There is no absolute standard for beauty. 美是没有绝对的标准的。

2.accommodation英[??k?m?'de??n]美[??kɑ?m?'de??n] n.膳宿;和解;住处;适应

n.(名词)accommodation的基本意思是“住处,住所”,即供人暂时停留、工作、居住的地方,是不可数名词。在英式英语中, accommodation可泛指公寓、旅馆、一般房屋中有或无家具设备的房间(常提供膳食或其他服务)或飞机、火车、轮船等的预订座位或铺位,用作可数名词,有单复数形式;在美式英语中, accommodation可表示“房间”,即使一个房间,也习惯用复数形式。

accommodation也可作“调解,和解”解,是正式用词。“have accommodation for+人数”的意思是“能容纳……人”。

3.aggressive英[?'ɡres?v]美[?'ɡres?v]adj.侵略的;进攻性的;好斗的;有进取心的1通常表示“侵略(性)的”用aggressive,如aggressive foreign policy(侵略性的外交政策),a.ggressive war(侵略战争)。在表示“侵略国”,习惯用aggressor nation,而不是aggressive nation。

2.adj.(形容词)aggressive用于修饰人时指人的品行与行为,用于褒义时意思是“进取的; 精力充沛的; 过分活跃的”; 用于贬义时则指“挑衅的; 好斗的”。aggressive 也可用于修饰武器,指相对于“防御性的”而言的“攻击性的”。

3.aggressive作“侵略的”或心理学术语中“攻击的”解时不用于比较等级。

state是普通用语,指“情况,状态”,其存在形式并不是具体事物; situation指危急或重大的事态,侧重“事态”,也指“职位,职业”;condition和state相比意义较狭隘,指在思考中的事物的状态,“环境”所影响的“情况”,特指事物内部的条件和状态,用复数时指比较一般、笼统的情况,侧重于“状况”;circumstance指某种事件或动作发生时的情况,一般都用复数形式。例如:

The country is in a troubled state.这个国家处于紊乱的状态中。

Measures must be taken to meet this situation.必须设法应付这个局面。

He is applying for a situation.他正在请求得到一个位置。

The oranges may soon rot under present conditions.橘子在目前的状态下会很快腐烂的。

辨析

1.fancy和fantasy多指无事实依据的凭空想象; imagination的想象则依据所见所闻或现实。

2.fancy的内容多是虚构的、幻想的; fantasy的内容更是荒诞古怪; imagination的内容则一般是合理的。
